Dorchester Brewing Co (DBCo) is an innovative brewery model that pairs community building, entrepreneurship, and beer hand-in-hand. Located on Mass Ave in Dorchester, DBCo hosts a popular tap room and patio for beer lovers, as well as a turnkey opportunity for local craft brewers to produce, package, store, and market their beer on site.
The brewery opened its doors in July 2016. With its many moving parts and simultaneous operations (retail sales, inventory, payroll), the co-owners quickly realized that outsourcing the accounting would help them achieve growth more efficiently and quickly. DBCo relies on Square to manage retail sales in the tap room, Bill.com for paying all of their bills, and SOS Inventory to manage beer inventory. All three of these applications integrate directly into QuickBooks Online, creating a streamlined accounting flow. This helps free the owners up to focus on what they do best -- providing the highest quality beer and facilities to their community.
